Whitney Hill was first exposed to the DeafBlind community at Seabeck Conference Center in Washington State; her childhood home as well as the site for the world famous Light House for the Blind - DeafBlind Retreat. She graduated from Western Oregon University in 2003, and has been working in the community for most of her career. Whitney has been the Washington State RID Legislative Committee Chair since 2011 and has received awards and recognition for the advocacy work she was able to accomplish in that position. She is currently a law student at Seattle University, and plans to establish a practice that can serve the legal service needs of the Deaf and DeafBlind community after passing the bar.
